The event was a complete success once again, and a 3rd Las Vegas Convention will go ahead on the 23 to 27th June, 2002.

Gina and Romany Rye opened the 2001 event with 3 hours of music for the reception of the guests on Sunday afternoon.

The amount of Artistes to be included in the Concerts were so many in number that the stage was kept busy throughout the event,  lunchtimes, dinner times, and concert time, and still did not include all the artistes.

First evening and the Welcome Concert starred Joe Vento, John Simkiss, the Accordionist playing at The Paris in Las Vegas, Murl Allen Sanders the blues and Cajun artiste,  and the Magic of Tony Lovello, his Las Vegas Act is exciting, and expertly processed.

Next morning the workshops started Workshops conducted by Ron Borelli, Peter Soave, Gordon Kohl, Lou Fornoff, Joe Vento, Gina Brannelli, Larry Pino commenced at 9.00 am the second set 10.15 am  Lunch at 12.00 midday with music, afternoon workshops conducted by John Simkus, Arlene Boddicker, Tony Lovello, Murl Allen Sanders, Tom Collins, Eddie de Santis and masterclass followed, the evening buffet included music once again and then the concert began with Tom Collins with his superb vaudeville presentation and then starred Peter Soave, Julien Labro, and Billy Cairo on percussion.  This was indeed a magic evening, the expertise of Peter had the entire audience transfixed, he has an appealing and endearing presentation, his inclusion of Julian and accompaniment of Billy Cairo made the concert very special indeed.

The after hours situation in the Turf Club was a great success, and there were many professional artistes just got up and played on the Open Stage, Gina and Romany Rye Hosted the Turf Club, and the first night included Roberto Rosa, from San Francisco, a professional musician Originating from Puerto Rico. The evening came to a close at 2.00 am

The next morning it was a buffet breakfast, and the workshops morning and afternoon, additional workshops conducted by Shirley Barry, Chuck Bacino, Max Carl, Bosko and Peter plus music at lunchtime set the perfect mood.  The trade show was exciting and busy, with lots of demonstrators for the accordions.  The evening concert was to be the legendary Dick Contino and his superb group.  If you have never seen this artiste, then you have missed professionalism from the end of the strands of his hair, to the nails on his feet.  From the moment he walks in the room he has the audience in his hands.  A breathtaking performance, charismatic, and electric.  One of his multi Million seller recordings,  Lady of Spain highlighted the evening together with Malaghenia. Dick Contino was presented with the Trophy for Honorary Conductor, last year it was Art Van Damme.

The after hours once again featured lots of artistes Professional and Amateur, and was enjoyed by all.

The last day, had the progressive workshops, and specialist workshops off to a good start, additional workshops to include Joe Cairo and Stanley Bozynski after the Buffet Breakfast, the Lunchtime and afternoon events went well, evening was a concert featuring once again in reprise, Tony Lovello, Joe Vento Eddie de Santas, Murl Allen Sanders , Peter Soave, Julien Labro and Dick Contino.

The after hours took over and went on until 2 am, featuring Gina and Romany Rye and Roberto Rosa.  The concert and the after hours brought the event to a superb conclusion, enjoyed by all. All hating the thought of saying goodbye, even though it is only 8 months to the next Las Vegas Convention.

The superb inclusion of music from Ray Battani, Steve and Michael Trucco, Dale WygantGordon Kohl, Al Monti, and so many artistes too numerous to mention.  THANK YOU TO ALL THE ARTISTES THAT APPEARED IN THE LAS VEGAS CONVENTION 2001. THANKS TO THE ORGANISING COMMITTEE FOR PUTTING THIS EVENT TOGETHER. THANKS TO THE SUPPORTERS OF THE EVENT, IN MOST CASES A REPEAT BOOKING WAS MADE FOR NEXT YEARS CONVENTION BEFORE DEPARTURE.
