The event was once again a complete success, with more stars, more workshops and more people attending than ever before.

The Sunday registration for the guests began with music from Gina and Romany Rye for three and half hours.  It was a good introduction to the event.

Lunches with Legends series included Art Van Damme, Dick Contino, Frank Marocco

Concerts during the event included, Tony Lovello, Jo Vento, Steve Albini, Gordon Kohl, Ron Borelli, Bonnie Birch, Gus Merzi, John Bonica, Absolut Accord, Larysa Bodell, Gina & Romany Rye, Frank Marocco, Dick Contino, Peter and Mady Soave, Julien Llabro, Mirco Patarini, Brian Wong, Ginny Mac, Art Van Damme, Dick Contino.

Workshops  9.00 am 10.30 am 2.30 pm and 3.50 pm

Workshops presented during the event by  Peter Soave, Gordon Kohl, Ron Borelli, Gina Brannelli, Absolut Accord, John Bonica, Bonnie Birch, Frank Marocco, Steve Albini and Paul Pasquali Gordon Kohl, Tony Lovello, Mady Soave, Julien Llabro, Dale Wise and Count Guido Robert Diero.

After hours Club Concerto was presented nightly by Gina and Romany Rye with guest appearances until the early hours.

Presentations, The Frosini Award went to the San Diego Accordion Club.

The Las Vegas Convention Honorary Conductor award 2002 was presented to the sisters of Myron Floren, who unfortunately was not able to attend due to ill health.

Scholarships were presented to Brian Wong of Washington Capitol and Ginny Mac from Texas, these were presented by Count Guido Robert Diero.

The Lifetime service award to the Accordion was presented to Frank Marocco.

The special scholarship to have been presented in 2003 in memory of Guido Diero, was presented to Ginny Mac from Texas one year in advance for her professional entertainment presentation at the age of 16 years, her vocal and instrumental talent, as well as her stage presentation overwhelmed the officials, and Count Diero decided to award the Scholarship one year in advance, and took great pleasure in presenting this award himself.

Paul Pasquale thanked his administration staff Jim Duane, Marilyn and Danny Showalter, Eric Browning, George Churnenko and Bradford Nelson and thanked friends Gina Brannelli and Peter Soave for having made this convention a reality by their wisdom, insight, guidance and enthusiasm.

Next year will be bigger and better (if that is possible), and will have many new exciting features.  2002 was great, now wait for 2003, or better still, book now on line.  WE WILL ALL SEE YOU 2003 IN LAS VEGAS, DO NOT MISS THE EVENT. 22ND TO THE 26TH JUNE, 2003.
